Tricerat has released version 7.3.0 of ScrewDrivers® Essentials, Pro, and Enterprise. Discover the latest updates for Linux, macOS, and new advanced print features you can expect with the new release.
Tricerat continues to expand support for various client computing platforms with the addition of a scanning client for Linux. With this client, users with locally connected scanners can use ScrewDrivers Scanning to access the device in remote applications. The Tricerat virtual TWAIN driver enables an application to acquire an image, and the proprietary virtual channel communications facilitates fast, reliable transfer of the image from the scanner to the remote application. Just like Windows clients, users of Linux workstations or Linux-based thin client devices can support local scanner in EUC environments.
With the latest round of macOS updates to the ScrewDrivers Endpoint Client, Tricerat has released ScrewDrivers Pro agent for macOS, featuring the ScrewDrivers Printers application for user self-service of printing and local queue creation for macOS desktops. ScrewDrivers Pro DMG is a separate download that is now available in the download section.
One of the most widely used features of ScrewDrivers receives driver support updates to continue our dedication to the most recent drivers and platforms. ScrewDrivers Advanced Print Features brings all of the advantages of a virtual print driver while still giving the user access to all options offered by native print drivers.
This release contains a variety of other fixes and improvements based on feedback from our user community. This includes updates to the License Server, Print Server temporary file fixes, updates to the Gateway Server, and various other updates.
